I was born in Newark NJ
I taught myself how to hold a pencil as the first thing I remember wanting to do was to draw.
I have been drawing ever since.
I grew up a traditional fine artist.

I dabbled in every medium that one could use to create art.
I went to Parsons School of Design in NYC and graduated in 1996 with a BFA in Illustration.
I then played in various bands for a few too many years.
Once I came to the realization I was not going to be a rock star I more or less began to take my art career seriously.
I then taught myself computers.
I then forgot about traditional art for far too many years.
Over a decade give or take.
I recently realized that was foolish and started drawing again.
The iPad Pro has played a large part in that resurgence.
It allows me to keep the lines true to my hand while allowing me to experiment with color.
It took me way longer than it should have to realize and accept the fact it is not the tool but how you use it.
Perhaps the biggest thing I have learned after all these years is you do not need to be perfect with digital art.
There are many imperfections in my digital drawings, just as there were many imperfections in my actual drawings.
I now view them to be one in the same.
